Sliding Scale Guidelines

For Clarity coaching sessions

Lifted Being strives to make our coaching services accessible to people of different backgrounds and economic situations. To do this, we offer our one-off Clarity coaching sessions on a sliding scale.

A Guide to the Sliding Scale

Pine

$150

The Pine price is the actual cost of the session. If you choose a price below the Pine tier you are receiving a discount.

Consider paying the top of the scale if you:

  • are comfortably able to meet all your basic needs

  • may have some debt but it does not prohibit attainment of basic needs

  • own your home or property, or rent higher-end property

  • own or lease a car

  • are employed or do not need to work to meet your needs

  • have regular access to health care

  • have access to financial savings

  • have an expendable income

  • can always buy new items

  • can afford an annual vacation or take time off

Willow

$100

The Willow price is for those who are able to meet their basic needs but have little-to-no expendable income. Paying for this session may qualify as a sacrifice but it would not create hardship.

Consider paying mid-range on the scale if you:

  • may stress about meeting basic needs but still regularly achieve them

  • may have some debt but it does not prohibit attainment of basic needs

  • own or lease a car

  • are employed

  • have access to healthcare

  • might have access to financial savings

  • have some expendable income

  • are able to buy some new items and thrift others

  • can take vacation annually or every few years without financial burden

Bonsai

Negotiable

The Bonsai price is for those who struggle to meet basic needs and paying for this session would still be a significant hardship.

Consider paying less on the scale if you:

  • frequently stress about meeting basics needs and don't always achieve them

  • have debt and it sometimes prohibits you from meeting your basic needs

  • rent lower-end properties or have unstable housing

  • do not have a car and/or limited access to a car but aren't always able to afford gas

  • are unemployed or underemployed

  • qualify for government assistance including food stamps and health care

  • have no access to savings

  • have no or very limited expendable income

  • rarely buy new items because you're unable to afford them

  • cannot afford a vacation or don't have the ability to take time off without financial burden

Redwood

Pay it forward
$160 — $200

Redwood is a pay-it-forward price that’s above the actual cost of the session. The extra money goes towards supporting future pro bono and low-cost sessions. It's an opportunity to have your coaching session while also giving others in the community a chance to benefit from our services.

Special thanks to Worts and Cunning Apothecacy for providing the model for our sliding scale guidelines.
